“ Lori is by far the best server! It's been a while since we've been in so I'm not sure if she's retired or not but we love her. The food is always delicious I am a sucker for the turkey, potatoes and stuffing with the cranberry sauce. My daughters love the grilled cheese. During the summer they have DOLE whip deserts and drinks they are my favorite. ”
“ Stop in for lunch and ordered the club sandwich with fries. The sandwich was delicious and very filling. Service was excellent as well. ”
“ Absolutely wonderful country diner. We used to stop by on every trip through southern WA, but now live a little closer and made a point of coming down. Previously we only ever did that on rare occasion and for the fried chicken, specifically. Sadly that is no longer on the menu... even though everyone I know loved it. People talked about it even up in the Seattle area. Sad, although admittedly the rest of the menu is also delicious. The staff are always friendly and you're always greeted by a rooster at the door. This place almost gets 5 stars from me. They've kept the decor country over the years and the gratuitous country attitude and delicious country food we love. I just pine for that good old fried chicken. Please bring it back, and I'll give you 5 stars. Deal? I sure hope so. ”
“ Always a fun place to stop when trekking the I-5. The ambiance is old school roadtrip fun. Terrific for keeping the kids distracted. The portions are generous, preparation fast, and my service was attentive, accurate, and genuinely pleasant (despite my arriving 30 minutes before closing). I had the corned beef hash & eggs, and it sure hit the spot! My only regret is that I was eyeing the caramel bread pudding for dessert, but only had room for the English muffin loaded with yummy apple butter. ”
“ Over the past 20 years, every trip we make from Seattle heading towards Portland we plan a pit stop here for friendly service and good comfort food. The kids have since grown up, but the experience remains unchanged and stirs memories of family road trips. This time on our way to Columbia River Gorge, I had a craving for an old-fashioned hot turkey sandwich and it did not disappoint! ”
“ I have had nothing but great food and experiences here at the Country Cousin! Located right off of I-5 at Exit 82, the Country Cousin serves delicious, comfort food at a very reasonable price. Been there three times: solo, with just the kids, and as a whole family. Each time I had superb and caring service (they're great with kids). As for the food ... so good. Down home cooking that fills you up. Some of things we've had that have all been good: Chicken Fried Steak and a Patty Melt (two of my favorites), Cheeseburgers, Mini Corn Dogs, Chicken Strips, Turkey & Potatoes Dinner). Come to the Country Cousin if you're in the mood for comfort food, friendly service, and a warm and no-frills atmosphere. It's perfect. I will certainly continue coming here. You should too. ”
“ As you can tell from the name, a country homestyle restaurant with "comfort foods" on the menu such as meatloaf, cheese curds, burgers. They do offer a veggie burger option. The ladies at the front door were smiley and friendly. Our server, possibly due to being in a rush, was a bit brusque, yet everything was accomplished as needed. My friend ordered the meatloaf, drenched in gravy, and enjoyed that. I ordered one of the salads and found it rather uninspired. Dessert was apple pie for one of us and berry crunch (cobbler) for the other. The pie slice was very generous. The cobbler was good - though it would have been nice to be told what the berry was going to be. Loved the decor, and they have a little shop, though it is pricey. Especially loved the rooster that crows when the door opens - a cute touch. ”
